Web development can be a tough gig – a busy industry, everyones’ gran knows how to install WordPress. You just want to deliver a beautiful website for your client and ignore the BS.
So what happens when you have worked all those hours, checked every pixel and the website is launched! Hurrah!.. then the emails come with changes – arrrr scope creep hell.
We asked around a few designers and compiled the top 7 things a web designer doesn’t want to hear.. enjoy!
1. “You’re the expert”
I am not an expert and neither a mind reader. Please Just tell me what you need done.
2. “My nephew/niece can help, he/she is doing web design in school”
Good for him/her.
3. “I’ve created a google sheet with some changes.”
More changes, great.
4. “Can you make it look like twitter?”
No, your budget is $200.
5. “I’m going to send it around to all my friends for feedback”
Thanks that will add another 3 months onto the project.
6. “I can’t find it on Google”
Neither can I, That’s because its a new website and google will have to index it.
7. “Can I make a few teaks”
Dude, tweaks are still work! I thought we were finished, you signed off!
