With Notification Groups, you can really personalise the notifications sent to your clients when a Request is Open, Working or Closed.
You can create a default Notification group for all your clients or different groups depending on their retainer level. When you are adding a new Client retainer, you can select the contact and the notification group applicable for the contact.
This will keep your clients in the loop with a personal message to suit their requirements or service level agreement, much bette than a single canned response for everyone.
